January 8, 2001, Waltham, MA - Lewtan
Technologies ("Lewtan"), today announced the appointment
of Dinkar Jetley of Deutsche Bank and Robert Cohen of Freeman &
Co. to its board of directors. Lewtan and Deutsche Bank recently
announced a partnership to work cooperatively in creating web-based
solutions for the Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) market and
other parts of the Structured Finance Industry. Mr. Jetley's appointment
is a result of that partnership. The two appointments compliment
Lewtan's existing board of Industry veterans by adding decades of
experience in key roles with structured finance leaders such as
Deutsche Bank, Citibank, CS First Boston, Goldman Sachs, and Chase
Securities.
Robert Cohen is one of two senior partners at
Freeman & Co., a consulting and financial advisory firm. This
position follows over 25 years in the Fixed Income Securities Industry,
specifically in sales, trading, and senior management roles. Mr.
Cohen held several senior positions at CS First Boston (then The
First Boston Corporation) and Goldman Sachs before moving to Chase
Securities where he served as Senior Vice President and head of
the U.S. Fixed Income Division and was a member of the Chase Securities'
Board of Directors.
Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, Dinkar Jetley
is the Global Head of the bank's Corporate Trust & Agency Services
(CTAS) business, a leading provider of trust and administrative
services to participants in the Structured Finance markets globally.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in September 1999, Mr. Jetley spent
14 years with Citibank in multiple capacities including consumer
and corporate banking across Europe and North America.
Stuart Lewtan, President and CEO of Lewtan Technologies,
commented, "I am thrilled to have Dinkar and Bob join our board.
I know that each of them will make an enormous contribution to the
company. We want to make ABSNet and the applications that run on
the platform an integral part of the infrastructure to the Securitization
Industry."
Several key partnerships have been critical
to Lewtan's success, and new alliances with Industry leaders will
drive the growth of both Lewtan and the Securitization marketplace.
"Dinkar works closely with many of the key players at these
institutions, and will be a pivotal advisor as we structure mutually
beneficial partnerships. In order to establish a role for ABSNet
in the advent of Internet-based bond trading, dealer relationships
will be critical. Bob's deep knowledge of the dealer community and
fixed income sales and trading will be invaluable," says Stuart
Lewtan.
