To initiate a securitization, Lewtan Technologies’ software provides collateral analysis, pool selection, cash flow modeling, gain-on-sale analysis, static pool analysis, and deal structuring. To support on-going servicing, it performs receivable level calculations (collections, advances, recoveries, payaheads, losses, etc.), investor reporting, reconciliation and surveillance. In addition, the software also provides an SEC EDGAR interface and a G/L interface (or, optionally, its own internal G/L).

The design of our software is driven by two principles: auditability and control. Every entry reported to investors and/or posted to the G/L can be reconciled to the receivable level - and all operations can be accomplished with the minimum of manual intervention. Lewtan Technologies also offers a wide array of services. These include reviews of existing receivable (loan, lease, mortgage, credit card or trade receivable) and accounting systems (home grown and/or vendor supported, including auxiliary and subsystems, such as charge-off/recovery). Extensive reviews of back office operations include methodologies for rapidly highlighting operational anomalies that could impact the quality of ABS reporting.

To achieve consistency (e.g., between investor reports and legal documents), Lewtan Technologies makes sure the needs of all participants - including systems, operations, finance, accounting and legal - have been factored into system requirements (and that system requirements have been factored into their activities). We also assist with organizational process re-engineering and generation of contra, gain-on-sale and securitization-specific accounting entries.

For those issuers/servicers who have outgrown an existing securitization system or are in the process of converting receivable accounting systems, Lewtan Technologies offers the tools and methodologies to retrofit existing deals and convert old interfaces. Finally, Lewtan Technologies can turn-key the entire ABS support on an outsource, service bureau basis - providing complete automation services, with all reports prepared off site and delivered on a timely basis.
